Nian Liu lab is part of a team led by New Lab LLC that won a $4 million grant from DOE's Storage Innovations (SI) 2030 strategic initiative, to innovate zinc batteries for long-duration energy storage.

Prof. Nian Liu has received tenure at Georgia Tech and promotion to Associate Professor. The promotions will officially take place in August.

Nian Liu gave a keynote speech at the launch event of Lithium R+D+i Center in Universidad Católica del Norte (Antofagasta, Chile), an invited talk at the 35th Topical Meeting of the International Society of Electrochemistry (Gold Coast, Australia), and an invited seminar at University of Queensland's Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (Brisbane, Australia) .

Nian Liu gave seminars in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Texas-Austin and the Department of Nanoengineering at the University of California, San Diego 

Nian Liu was invited to give a Materials Science and Engineering Colloquium at Columbia University. 

Alex Filippas received William R. Mclain Fellowship from School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Congratulations!
